The Program:
The pH7 Pilates Certification is based on the authentic teachings of Joseph and Clara Pilates. Students will learn the complete Classical Pilates Method, levels one through five, in our fully equipped studio on the following pieces of equipment:
Reformer - Cadillac - Ladder Barrel - Wunda Chair and High/Low Chair

Also included are the small apparatus pieces:
Spine Corrector - Magic Circles - ½ barrel - Ped-o-Pole - Foot Corrector

Our program also fully covers the Pilates Mat work, which is the foundation of all the work.

This comprehensive 475+ hour program is a 9 month intensive and includes 11 weekends of educational workshops covering all five levels of the Classical Pilates Method, anatomy, biomechanics, working with injuries, and teaching skills. Maximum class size will never exceed eight, thus ensuring that the students will be given a high level of attention from the instructors. Students will appreciate the holistic and supportive environment that pH7 Pilates provides during the program. Students will receive assistance in finding individuals for practice teaching hours. We want to set you up for success in every way we can during the program.

pH7 Pilates and its director Cher Aslor are registered as members of the Pilates Method Alliance, and the pH7 Pilates Certification program meets and exceeds all PMA requirements for a teacher training course. Upon receiving certification the student will be eligible for PMA membership.

Course Instructors:
Cher Aslor - PMA Certified Teacher - Cher is the founder of pH7 Pilates and received her Pilates Certification from Whole Body Gallery in Los Angeles in 2003. Her instructors included Heidi Kling, a second generation instructor under Romana Kryzanowska and Gin Gavran, who studied under Michelle Larson. After attending C.U. Boulder for a B.A. in theatre and dance, Cher danced professionally in the Los Angeles area for 10 years before moving back to her native Colorado. She has been studying Pilates and attending continuing education courses since 2004 with second generation master teacher Cara Reiser. Cher also holds certifications in Yoga and Yoga Sculpt from CorePower Yoga, a 20 hour Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training, and a Spin-Yoga certification from Seasons Yoga. Cher is also currently working on her Forrest Yoga 240 hr Certification. Cher also leads classes and workshops in Pre and Post Natal Pilates and is a PMA approved continuing education provider. Cher also teaches at Vital Yoga and Root Yoga Center, and is proud to be a Lululemon Ambassador

Deanna Chilean - In Life Before Pilates, Deanna was a garden variety athlete, the proud owner of a sweet baseline jump shot, (not quite like Mike) a deft one-handed backhand, (another reason she loves Federer) and her high school record for the long jump. She discovered Pilates in 1996 first as a rehab tool, then as a means of deepening her connection to her body and developing a new understanding of balanced fitness. She began studying and teaching Pilates in 2002 when she entered a comprehensive apprenticeship-based training program with Lara Kolesar. Ms. Kolesar apprenticed with Steve Giordano, a protégé of Romana Kryzanowska. In November 2010, Deanna received certification in the advanced/super-advanced classical pilates repertoire with Richard Rossiter and Pilates of Boulder. Deanna has been a part of the pH7 Teacher Certification staff since 2008. A dynamic instructor who keeps it light even when the work gets hard, she is equally comfortable working with clients seeking therapeutic exercise or those desiring a full body workout. In addition to Pilates, Deanna teaches Gyrotonic® and Gyrokinesis.®

Dr. Michelle Clark – Dr. Michelle Clark will be instructing the anatomy portion of the course. Dr. Clark, a Colorado Board Certified Chiropractor, is a graduate of Western States Chiropractic College in Portland, Oregon. She received her Bachelors of Science in Biological Science from the University of Colorado at Denver. In the spring of 2002, she was published in the Journal of Chiropractic Education for the research she did while attending the Colorado Chiropractic College. Dr. Clark is an active part of Denver’s yoga community and a student of pH7 Pilates. She frequently lectures around the city on topics related to injury prevention and wellness care as well as the anatomy curriculum at CorePower Yoga in Denver.

Cameron Dabney was certified in the Classical Pilates Method in 2003 at Peak Pilates where her teachers included master teacher Colleen Glenn. Cameron now holds all three Peak Pilates Certifications as well as a certificate in Hatha Yoga. She holds a B.A. from the University of Colorado at Boulder in Fine Art and she taught art for six years in the Aurora Public Schools. Cameron teaches at Vital Yoga as well as the Cherry Creek Athletic Club. Cameron works with the pH7 Teacher Training closely, leading the students in practice teaching and team building exercises as well as specializing in teaching the ped-i-pole and foot corrector.

Jennifer Davis is our studio manager and a graduate of the teacher training at pH7! Jen comes from years of devoted study in the Iyengar Yoga Tradition, as well as other types of yoga including Forrest Yoga. She holds a B.A. from Texas Tech University in Public Relations, and a minor in Marketing and French. Jen fell in love instantly with the way Pilates transformed her body and deepened her yoga practice. Jen's classes are popular because of her attention to detail, her gift for clear communication, and the ability to safely challenge her students. She is also trained in teaching pre and post natal Pilates and also assists in teaching the Teacher Training Program here at pH7. Jen stays committed to continuing education in both the Pilates and Yoga fields.
