Beginner Reformer

If you want to master the key principles of a solid Pilates practice this class is for you.  Deliberately paced, this class focuses on form, alignment and core control.  Attention is placed on the role of breath in movement as you build strength and gain confidence on the reformer.  A healthy dose of stretching is included.

This is a beginner level class.

Intermediate Reformer

Offered at the Highlands Studio Location

 

A faster paced, whole body class geared towards the active and advancing Pilates practitioner.  Full of core, hip and shoulder strengthening exercises that sequence together to condition the body and builds stamina.  Classical transitions are introduced between exercises as well.

This is an intermediate level class.

Lengthen, stretch, and tone as you build or advance your Pilates practice.  This class meets you where you are and challenges you to develop and perfect your technique.  Exercises are classically sequenced and moderately paced with various contemporary twists thrown in.

This is an all level class.

Combo Equipment Class

Test your Pilates skills in this mixed level, mixed equipment class. Great for beginners to get stronger and learn more. Excellent for intermediates to mix it up from the reformer, mat and prop work, to the chair.

Int/Adv. Combo Equipment

This up-tempo class is designed to challenge the progressing practitioner who is focused on mastering intermediate to advanced exercises on all pieces of equipment.  Maintaining strength and stability through control is emphasized as you work your deep core and bring added awareness to movement.  Classical transitions between exercises are also taught.

This is an intermediate to advanced level class.

Circuit Pilates

Offered at the Highlands Studio Location

Expect each class to be unique as you work your way through a moderately paced circuit incorporating various pieces of equipment – reformer, tower, chair, ladder barrel and the mat.  Designed to improve strength and stamina, the circuit format also improves your overall physical function by shifting neuromuscular patterns.  Frequent this class regularly and you will quickly expand your repertoire and find inspiration in your practice.

This is an intermediate to advanced level class.

Tower Power

Offered at the Congress Park Location

Build strength and muscular endurance in this hour of power.  You will move through all the planes of motion from supine to standing while working with the various resistive springs of the tower.  This class flows with creative combinations that assign focus to achieve a healthier overall posture and more toned appearance.

This is an advanced beginner to intermediate level class.

Tower/Chair Power

Love to mix it up? Relish the challenge of the chair? Love the tower? If the answer is yes, this class is for you.  Find symmetry and stability necessary to improve your posture and tone your body.  Expect plenty of core, leg and arm work while you utilize these two amazing pieces of equipment.

This is an advanced beginner to intermediate level class.

All-Level Chair

Enjoy the benefits and challenges of the chair.  Like the reformer, the chair is a spring-loaded apparatus that adds resistance to movement.  Many of the same exercises and sequences that are done on the reformer can also be done on the chair, allowing you to experience and connect with them differently.  Anticipate a combination of sitting, standing and lying down on the chair as you sweat your way toward improved core stability and a stronger body overall.

Jump Board

Offered at the Congress Park and Highlands Studio Locations

This reformer-based class is designed to build strength and improve endurance by mixing the core strengthening principles of Pilates with higher intensity cardio bursts utilizing the jump board.  Work on the jump board inherently accesses your core, glutes and legs but the addition of arms in this class ensures a total body workout.

This is an advanced beginner to intermediate level class.

Pilates Mat

Experience a fluid series of classical Pilates exercises designed to increase core strength and flexibility, while improving postural alignment.  You will learn skills to better access your core, control your breath and experience mindfulness.  Pilates mat work is not only foundational but a challenging and well-rounded workout for anyone.  This class is a great place to start before jumping into equipment classes or a welcoming homecoming for the experienced practitioner.

Yoga for Pilates

Inspired by the Iyengar yoga method and classical Pilates, this all levels mat class is designed to help you maximize the synergistic benefits of both of philosophies.  Be it learning to actively apply the stretching emphasis of yoga to your Pilates practice or advancing the depth of your yoga postures due to the core strength gained in Pilates, this class will leave you feeling leaner, stronger and more focused.  Emphasis specifically will be placed on body alignment and breath control to increase flexibility and stamina.

This is an all level class.  No prior Pilates or yoga experience necessary.
